Are you ready for
Therapy for Women: A Focus on Women’s Issues

I help women who are struggling with the negative effects of childhood trauma, relational abuse, and women's issues. Women who struggle to say "NO" and feel like they are "being mean" when they cannot meet everyone's needs.

My clients struggle as you do. Life is hard despite being successful, a loving caregiver, and a trustworthy, kind friend.

When they first come in, they feel rushed and angry. They often describe a daily routine filled with caring for everyone but themselves.  It is not uncommon to have client share that they feel guilty when putting themself first and stay in toxic relationships in fear of rejection.

They are worried they're pushing people away when they say no. Whether it's at work with co-workers or with family and friends, they feel resigned to the needs of others. What they need or want does not matter.

They feel like screaming every time they say "YES" to something, and they don't have the physical or emotional energy to focus on it but are afraid of letting someone down. Getting a text or phone call is almost too much.

They often find themselves unable to cope with stress and some of life's simplest challenges. Often they turn to addictive behaviors such as using substances, shopping excessively, or hours spent on social media to try and tone out the noise of being uncomfortable.

Their fear of saying "NO" gets in the way of the life they want to live in so many ways. They aren't the kind of person they want to be. They feel like they are failing as friends, sisters, daughters, or partners, and their confidence at work and home is diminishing.

Before they came to me, they felt guilty for being frustrated and drained. Other people can give freely, so why can't they? That saying no means they are being mean or lazy. But in reality, they are running on empty, and at their core, they suffer for it.

Like so many of my clients, you deserve to put yourself first without worrying about letting down your family, friend, or boss.

Feeling peaceful and fulfilled without an overstuffed schedule is not out of your reach.

Suppose you want to say no and mean it without guilt or fear. I'd love to help you get there.

About Me

As a dedicated Mental Health Therapist and EMDR-trained Trauma Therapist, my professional commitment lies in providing compassionate support to women over the age of 18 who are grappling with painful experiences. I offer LGBTQIA+ affirming care with compassion and understanding. My goal is to craft an environment that enables personal exploration, healing, and empowerment.

Therapy is a journey through mental and emotional landscapes that vary significantly from individual to individual. As a therapist, it's my job to guide you through these terrains, no matter how daunting or unfamiliar they might seem. I can't promise we'll clear every obstacle or reach every peak - after all, everyone's journey is unique.

However, what I can pledge unequivocally is that you will never have to traverse this path alone. Feelings of understanding, empathy, and respect can create an emotional balm, aiding in the healing and growth processes and making you feel valued throughout your therapeutic journey.

Whether you feel emotionally at odds or struggle with the aftermath of traumatic experiences, I serve as a compassionate guide on your path toward balanced mental health and wellness. I believe in using a holistic approach where balancing the heart, mind, and body is a priority for successful treatment. I would love to join you on your journey to a life worth living.
