As a dedicated Mental Health Counselor and EMDR-trained Trauma Therapist, my professional commitment lies in providing compassionate support to individuals over the age of 18 grappling with unresolved trauma, or painful experiences. I offer LGBTQIA+ affirming care with compassion and understanding. My goal is to craft an environment that enables personal exploration, healing, and empowerment.

However, the one thing I can vouch for with absolute certainty is the kind of relationship you will have with me as your therapist.

The environment I create is one of safety and respect; a sanctum that will both challenge and nurture you, where confidentiality is preserved, and your concerns hold top priority. 

Furthermore, empathy is the cornerstone of my practice. In every session, I endeavor to understand your thoughts, feelings, and experiences from your perspective, without judgment or bias. This heightened understanding allows me to be life's silent companion on your journey, offering guidance and helping you navigate your thoughts and feelings. 

In addition, my approach is swathed in patience. Therapy takes time - it’s a journey rather than a quick fix. As we traverse the landscape of your inner world, we'll take the time required to explore, uncover, and understand, at a pace that best suits you. 

Lastly, understanding. Being known in depth – your victories, your struggles, your hopes, and your fears – fosters healing. Together, we’ll strive to comprehend the multifacets of you, cherishing your individuality, and taking the time to entirely grasp your narrative.

Each plays its role in facilitating a therapeutic environment conducive to growth and healing, laying the foundation for a personalized, effective therapeutic experience.

Education & Experience
My educational background includes a Bachelor (BA) of Science in Psychology and a Master's (MS) in Mental Health Counseling. My postgraduate studies have included certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (C-DBT), Certification in Complex Trauma, Level 1 and 2 training (CCTP-II), and EMDRIA training in EMDR therapy. I pride myself in staying up to date with the latest research and advancement in my field with ongoing professional development being instrumental in the care I bring to my clients.  

In addition to my private practice, I have extensive experience in various clinical settings, including dual diagnosis inpatient, residential, PHP, and IOP. This diverse experience has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of complex mental health issues and the ability to tailor treatment approaches to meet the needs of a diverse clientele. I employ evidence-based approaches along with the client-centered humanistic approach towards positive change. 

Despite the diversity of experiences and issues, what unites every therapeutic encounter is the pursuit of self-betterment. But this doesn't mean the voyage is always a smooth one. Sometimes it involves confronting uncomfortable truths, exploring painful memories, or acknowledging suppressed emotions. But in these moments, I promise you won't be alone. I will stand by your side, guiding you with empathy, patience, and understanding. 

Remember, therapy is not about achieving perfection. It is about embracing your authentic self, understanding your emotions, and learning strategies to manage them effectively. And throughout this process, seamlessly harmonizing connection, respect, empathy, and patience - I assure you of a supportive and understanding partnership, every step of the journey.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

~ National Certified Counselor (NCC). Professional counselors who wish to be granted the NCC credential must show that they have completed specific educational and training requirements and demonstrate an ongoing professional commitment to the field of counseling by satisfying the other requirements of this Program.


~ I am a member in good standing with the American Counseling Association. 


~ Currently, I am the President of SAIGE-FL a sub-chapter of the Florida Counseling Association, and a member in good standing with the Florida Counseling Association.

Final Thoughts

Therapy is a journey, an expedition through mental and emotional landscapes that vary greatly from individual to individual. As a therapist, it's my job to guide you through these terrains, no matter how daunting or unfamiliar they might seem. I can't promise that we'll clear every obstacle or reach every peak - after all, everyone's journey is unique.
